The approach the author has taken is as a translator as opposed to observer. Alot of ground is covered in this far too brief book. One Chapter has a short synopsis of how society views cats as seen by a cat. [A real interesting loop] Also included is how a cat views its owners or with the same twist [Maybe, not a twist since this is a 'translation'].
The main focus is how cat a handles or tries to communciate problems or dislikes. The whole journal of an illness and recovery is handled well by this unorthodox litertary approach.
